Soli Deo Gloria!

PJ’s Pizza Wagon LLC is a small family business built on faith in God and the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ.

For in him (Jesus) all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,
and through him to reconcile to himself all things,
whether on earth or in heaven,
making peace by the blood of his cross
.
Colossians 1:19-20

And whatever you do, in word or deed,
do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 1:17

It starts with always keeping God first (Ex. 20).  It continues with keeping our marriage growing in grace. PJ and Angie met at Marshall High School in Portland Oregon (1988) and were married on Dec. 11, 1993.  They currently have 4 children, 2 daughter in laws, 1 son in law and 5 grandchildren.  They currently all attend Trinity Reformed church in Aloha, Oregon, where PJ serves as an elder.

  • 1988 to 1994 PJ played high school, amateur and college golf and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 1994-1997 PJ played professional golf and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 1997-2001 PJ worked as a golf professional at country clubs and golf courses and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 2001-2004 PJ went back to the University of Portland to get his elementary teaching degree and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 2004-2007 PJ taught 2nd grade in the Beaverton school district and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 2007-2025 PJ was the principal at Cor Deo Christian Academy and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 2023 PJ wanted to start a part time Pizza trailer business and Angie helped and encouraged him.

  • 2025 PJ wanted to go full time with the Pizza trailer and Angie is helping and encouraging him.

As you can see PJ’s name may be on the trailer but Angie is his rock, support and the love of his life. She helps and encourages him while being an incredible mother to our 4 children!

Angie and PJ do a lot of hospitality in their home in Hillsboro.  They enjoy cooking good food for their guests.  Angie is tenacious with cleaning and organization.  Over our years together we have grown in our appreciation of good food.  We often evaluate restaurants and other food trucks by three criteria:

1.     Is the restaurant/food truck clean?

2.     Is it good, tasty and satisfying food?

3.     Is it affordable for a big family?

These are the things we want to focus on in our pizza business.

In the food movie The Hundred Foot Journey, there is a quote that says “food is memories”. We would like our pizza trailer to bring good memories to people.  Even if it is a simple lunch event.  Another great food movie Chef, shows the importance of human relationships (especially the family) above business and money. (we would add above God first and foremost).  In another food movie Burnt the opening line says,  “God created oysters and apples it is our job to try and improve on that.” And another food movie Julie and Julia shows the joy that can come from taking food seriously.  In the book The Supper of the Lamb by Robert Farrar Capon, he shows us how food is to remind us of the goodness and promises of God, even in the details of cooking delicious food.

From Joe Rigney’s book, The Things Of The Earth, Treasuring God by enjoying His gifts. he states,

“Creation is communication from the triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). God loved His Trinitarian fullness so much that He created a world to communicate that fullness ad, extra, outside Himself. And not just any world – a world full of fish tacos, tickle fights, afternoon naps, Cajus seafood, back rubs, wool house shoes and church softball. ( I would add pizza!)

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
    whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4

Man is to take what God created (everything) and take dominion of it for the glory of God and the good of all people.  Food is a part of God’s creation that he declared good.

Question: What is man’s chief end?
Answer: To glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.
